Parenting Support Group and Children's Art Therapy Group
Saturdays: Oct, 11th-Nov 22nd, 10am-11:15am
Do you feel isolated in parenting a child with social-emotional difficulties?
This Parenting Support Group and Children's Art Therapy Group are for families who are seeking strategies, need support, and want to build community, in a compassionate healing environment.
Parents will learn to identify communication patterns, age-appropriate parenting alternatives, stress reduction reflective practice, and self-care.
Simultaneously, (in the office next door) children will learn to identify and express emotions and increase coping and socialization skills, through the use of art directives.
Families will access internal resourcefulness to strengthen parent-child attachments.

Altarena Playhouse presents Little Shop of Horrors
Seymour, a down-and out skid row floral assistant, becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers an exotic plant with a mysterious craving for fresh blood. Soon it grows into an ill-tempered, foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore who offers him fame and fortune in exchange for feeding its growing appetite.
