Want Fries with That?

The good news is that it didn't happen before the premiere, but still those involved with the Alameda Theatre renovation and re-opening have to be a little shocked about the timing. Yesterday at about 8:30 a.m., just 8 days after the opening, a Pepsi truck hit the marque causing a yet undetermined amount of damage. All this after a years-long and $37.3 million renovation of the art deco theatre originally built in 1932. Bloggers all over Alameda, including The Island and Stop, Drop and Roll, were talking about it and posting images [this image by Stop, Drop and Roll].
