Owners Shawn and Wendy Shay call it an "East Coast/West Coast Eatery" because it marries what he loves from his East Coast roots (subs) and what she loves (fresh vegetables) from her West Coast upbringing. They let you build a sandwich or salad your way but also make a few sammies (caprese, mmm) and wraps (sesame chicken, yum) of their own worth trying. Skimping on ingredients is unheard of here, where a small salad (five ingredients vs. seven for a large) is practically big enough for the office, so come with an appetite. Seven breads, seven kinds of protein, seven kinds of cheese, standard fixings plus other options (from bell peppers and cucumbers to sundried tomato spread and bacon) can go on your sandwich; with salads, you select greens, toppings (carrots, anchovies or candied pecans, anyone?) dressing and protein.
