2014 Cal Shakes Summer Conservatory: Piedmont/Oakland 2-Week Program
July 28-August 8 9am-3pm. M-F. Performance on 8/8
Cal Shakes' Summer Shakespeare Conservatory for ages 8-18 offers a theater experience rooted in the same passion for artistic exploration and excellence that guide our award-winning Main Stage productions. We foster self-expression and artistic discipline to engage students in the theater-making process. Participants spend the morning playing and creating in a wide variety of theater disciplines, taught by working theater professionals. Afternoons are spent in rehearsals. The experience culminates in Shakespeare performances for family and friends at the end of the program.

Bay Area Shakespeare Camps - East Bay
Weekdays, 9am-5:30pm: July 7-18, July 14-25, July 21-Aug 1, Aug 4-15
Kids get in the act at Bay Area Shakespeare Camp! Multiple convenient East Bay locations. This fun program is designed for anybody ages 7-18 who is interested in acting and performance - prior experience is welcome but not required. Two-week camps provide a complete theatrical experience with training and experience in Shakespeare's rich language, acting and improvisation, voice and movement technique, stage combat, set and costume design, and more! On the final day, all campers star in a performance staged for family and friends. Teaching artists are trained theater professionals - actors, directors, and educators.
