Rhythmix Grand Opening
Alameda celebrated the birth of new cultural arts center June 2 with a grand opening party for the new Rhythmix Cultural Works on Blanding Avenue. Guests enjoyed live, multicultural performances upstairs while kids tested musical instruments downstairs and guests toured the gallery filled with original artwork. The brand new, one-of-a-kind center includes space for working artists, galleries, classrooms, a bookstore and theater. www.rhythmix.org. Photography by Lani Allen.
