This may be the best Thai restaurant in the Bay Area, as its website so boldly states. It’s a stunning place to dine and emphasizes the fare of southern Thailand, where the food is a bit richer, spicier, and seafood-focused. It does standard Thai dishes very well, but the thrill is in mining the more intense, exotic flavors from the likes of nam kao tod, kang kua prawns, mieng kum kun, neua num tok rolls, the 24-hours beef noodle soup, or pork belly. There are seasonal, Thai-themed cocktails, a fun dessert menu, and the Thai iced tea, which comes with a ball of shaved ice reminiscent of a snow cone—a must-order. The quality of ingredients and dishes and presentation mean you’ll be paying a premium over standard Thai food fare, but it’s well worth a few extra bucks. Serves lunch and dinner daily.
