The eating opportunities continue to expand at J]ack London Square, and one of the liveliest newish additions is Forge. You can order decadent bar food like crispy cheese curds, potato skins, or chicken wings before you add hip ingredients like arugula, Calabrian peppers, or a fried farm egg to your wood-fired oven pizza (one unusual-sounding concoction: potato with smoked trout, herb salad, and horseradish cream). These are thin-crusted, bubbling, minimalist beauties served up in spacious warehouse digs full of bar stools, group tables, and bright afternoon sunlight streaming through ample windows. The beer on tap is local, the cocktails are stout and well-curated, and the bartenders and servers are equally well versed on the food and the libations. There’s a way-cool fire pit on an outside plaza with ample outdoor dining tables, but everybody, and we do mean everybody and then some, migrates there on temperate days. Forge is a hot spot and looks headed for go-to JLS destination status. Serves lunch and dinner daily.
