This Park Street newcomer has moved into heavy rotation for us as an inviting lunch spot for pho, the Vietnamese staple. This bright little eatery puts forth a hefty and tempting pho menu, offering about a dozen combinations of beef, chicken or vegetable choices that are hugely enhanced by the accompanying heaps of fresh bean sprouts, mint and cilantro that add fresh crunch to the steaming rice noodles and broth. Start with the green papaya salad, an artful arrangement of shredded papaya with salty beef jerky and ground peanuts to wake up the old taste buds. Pho Sinh also prepares nice rice vermicelli and rice plates, Hanoi specialties and a few choice stir-fries, plus spring rolls, egg rolls and fried calamari. Wash it down with coconut juice, soy milk or Thai iced tea. Need a caffeine-sugar jolt? An iced Vietnamese coffee with sweet condensed milk should do it. Serves lunch and dinner daily.
