This tiny shoebox of a restaurant, where superheroes, anime, and Manga coexist with Miyazaki films, may be small in stature, but it’s mighty in character. Delicious, tasty sushi; big bento boxes; and spicy ramen combos that will make your brow bead with perspiration are on the menu at extremely affordable prices. The itsy-bitsy space is low-ceilinged and somewhat claustrophobic. But everything we sampled, from the warm, salted edamame and cooling, crunchy ponyo (seaweed salad draped over a lush California roll) to the airy-crisp tempura, was yummy.
