The pioneering organic/vegan/vegetarian-food company Amy's Kitchen aims to open a new drive-thru restaurant this summer in Walnut Creek.

It would join the original Amy's Drive-Thru restaurant in Rohnert Park and forthcoming second and third locations in Corte Madera and San Francisco International Airport's Terminal 1.

As reported at the North Bay Business Journal, the Petaluma-based company is currently developing its site plan and building design for the new location at the corner of 2nd Avenue and North Main Street in Walnut Creek, which will be erected sustainably with upcycled materials, a "living roof," and solar panels, and will create nearly 100 new jobs.

Amy's Drive-Thru serves meatless versions of American fast-food classics such as burgers, pizza, burritos, and chili.

The airport location is set to open on July 23.
