Chris Pastena's venerable Chop Bar is holding its tenth annual Pig Roast from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. this coming Sunday, July 22, at Oakland's Old Kan Beer Co. — which occupies the space formerly occupied by Adam Lamoreaux's Linden Street Brewery.

Lamoreaux is head brewer at Old Kan, having co-founded it last year with local celebrity chef James Syhabout.

Admission to the family-friendly, all-you-can-eat affair — which features an actual roasted pig, augmented by side dishes — is $20. Old Kan beers and servings of Fernet Branca cost an additional $5 each.

Accompanying the festivities will be live music by the Musashi Trio, featuring old-skool ska-meister Musashi Lethridge, former guitarist from the English Beat.
