In a global economy, speaking a second language is almost a prerequisite to membership in the global community—and its marketplace. “Over half the world’s population is bilingual,” says Dominique Velociter, Ecole Bilingue’s Acting Head of School. “After English and Mandarin, French is the third most common language used in business.” Celebrating 40 years in the Bay Area, EB’s unique curriculum combines the French emphasis on academic excellence with a liberal arts syllabus more common in the U.S. “Our children learn in two languages, which gives them distinct cognitive and social/emotional advantages—particularly in the international workplace.”
