The Face of Early Childhood Education

At Rockridge Montessori, early childhood education starts with the senses. Siblings Sandi Zorinich and Paul O’Valle, of Oakland’s Rockridge Montessori, believe core development happens when learning is multi-modal, tactile, and interactive. “The beauty of a Montessori education is its immersive environment. We teach children by engaging all their senses—especially touch,” says Zorinich. “It’s a child-directed environment that blurs the line between work and play. Our goal is to ensure all children have a positive school experience and are inspired to love learning. We teach children as young as 12-months old—providing them a solid foundation in a warm, nurturing environment.”
