From the moment you walk in to Yoshino Sushi, it is obvious that a lot of care and work went into redesigning the attractive restaurant. The obvious commitment to quality has happily translated to the food as well as Yoshino becomes the third in a chain of successful Japanese restaurants including Ta-Ke Sushi on Grand Avenue and Kyoto Sushi in San Francisco. Look for original takes on classic rolls and sashimi dishes from executive chef Kaz Yamaguchi as well as some local inspirations including the clever Coliseum, Raiders and 49ers rolls. Top the meal off with one of many sake choices or even a cocktail from the bar. And save room for dessert—there are many choices, including tempura ice cream and tempting green tea, sweet red bean and black sesame ice cream. Lunch and dinner daily, happy hour 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. daily.
