Women Who Dare
Girls Inc. of the Island City held its eighth annual Women Who Dare awards event at Caffé Verbena in Oakland June 2 to celebrate women and girls in the community who represent excellence and dare to be leaders. Awards titles include “She’s Got Moxie,” “Stick-to-It” and “Feng Shui.” The event also thanks major donors and helps to raise funds for future Girls Inc. programs.
