21st Five Star Night
More than 15 of the Bay Area’s finest chefs, led by local food celebrity Narsai David and Ellen Tussman, prepared a gourmet four-course meal and dessert buffet for about 300 attendees at the 21st Alameda County Meals on Wheels Five Star Night fundraiser. The May 2 event at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Ascension raised awareness and $157,000 for the six county Meals on Wheels programs; the proceeds will help the organization serve more than 25,000 warm, nutritious meals to homebound seniors. www.feedingseniors.org.
