‘The Wait Room’ combines oral histories, music, and dance on an important topic: women with incarcerated loved ones.

The April program, We Have Ourselves, features two world premieres with different perspectives, one by Latanya Tigner, a Dimensions member since 1986, and Erik Lee, who joined the company in 2011.

The UC Theater Dance and Performance Studies program turns 50, and Berkeley Dance Project, the department’s performing ensemble, offers a program of new works to honor 50 years.

What different about this dance company is that that it commissions new work and welcome existing choreographies.
