Celebrate Oakland’s young artists at this family-friendly festival, featuring student performances and art displays, and a headline concert by Oakland Rising, a collective of top emerging musicians from Oakland fresh from their Kennedy Center debut. The trio performing at Oakland Grown includes three musicians ages 15-25: August Lee Stevens, B DeVeaux, and Naima Nascimento.
The group was developed in partnership with the music education program Follow the Music, started by a group of Bay Area music and cultural leaders who believe in the transformational power of music.
Presented by the Oakland Public Education Fund, the event raises critical funds for arts and educational programs in Oakland public schools. Tickets include full museum admission. For information and tickets, visit the website.
