About the Best of Alameda Art & Culture Services
Alameda Magazine’s Best of Alameda was created to give readers throughout Alameda and the East Bay a voice in celebrating their personal “family favorite” Art & Culture services, along with standout businesses across everyday categories. Over time, the program has grown and evolved—guided by reader participation and a shared love for the local community.
Voting for Best of Alameda Art & Culture Services takes place in two rounds. The first round begins in March and features open write-in nominations, allowing readers to highlight their favorite organizations, venues, and creative spaces. Nominations remain open until mid-April.
Once nominations close, the second round opens. During April and May, readers vote from among the top-nominated Art & Culture services to select their favorites. Write-in nominations are no longer available during this final round.
Final winners are announced in October, celebrating the creativity, passion, and community spirit that make Alameda’s arts and culture scene so special.
