About the Best of Alameda Beauty, Health & Wellness
Alameda Magazine’s Best of Alameda was created to give readers throughout Alameda and the East Bay a voice in celebrating their personal “family favorite” Beauty, Health, and Wellness services, along with standout businesses across everyday categories. Over the years, the program has continued to grow—shaped by community participation and local pride.
Voting takes place in two rounds. The first round begins in March with open write-in nominations, allowing readers to highlight their favorite services. Nominations remain open through mid-April.
After nominations close, the second round opens in April and May. Readers then vote from among the top-nominated businesses to select the final winners. Write-in nominations are no longer available during this phase.
Final winners are announced in October, celebrating the people and places that help make Alameda a healthier, happier place to live.
